Center for Employment Opportunities originally began as a NYC-based project of the Vera Institute in the 1970s and incorporated as an independent nonprofit in 1996. In October 2019, NYC opened a second location in the Bronx. NYC continues to serve as our national headquarters and largest program site. CEO NYC offer immediate, effective, and comprehensive employment services exclusively to individuals who have recently returned home from incarceration. CEO’s program supports participants in gaining the workplace skills and confidence needed for successful transitions to stable, productive lives.
